Minda Thurman is a published author (Christian Faith Publishing), YouVersion partner, and military veteran who has spent the last fifteen years working as a government contractor and in various technical administrative positions. She is a wife and mother of three. While working full-time and raising twins, she received her associate’s degree in liberal arts from Southern New Hampshire University in 2018.
After a life-threatening brain aneurysm and AVM rupture in February 2020, she rededicated her life to Christ and started her own company by employing her entrepreneurial skills. She became the founder and owner of God Is My Glow Up, LLC. GIMGU (for short) offers delightful, comfortable apparel that spreads its message of hope and God’s grace in English and Spanish on various social media platforms.
She returned to school and received her bachelor’s degree in Public Health at Southern New Hampshire University in 2023 and is currently pursuing her master's degree in Organizational Leadership, while substitute teaching.
She regularly advocates for AVM awareness and stroke survivors through her work with The Bee Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises awareness of brain aneurysms and seeks to increase funding for innovative research that saves lives. Minda works hard while successfully juggling motherhood and recovery. She seeks to raise awareness for AVM patients, survivors, and their families.
She uses her social media platform daily to spread awareness, love, and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
